Written guide

Before you start: you need permission to create projects on your plan.

  1. Go to Projects and select Create New Project.

Project Information

  1. Enter a Project Name. Use something descriptive so the project is easy to find later.
  2. Check the Project Code. KaelSite generates a unique code for you automatically. You can keep it or type your own, but each code must be unique.
  3. Select the Project Type. This decides which work items and pre-built inspection forms you can choose for the project later.
  4. (Optional) Add Clients. Type a display name, or select the client button to pick existing clients. You can link as many clients as you need.
  5. Choose a Start Date. This is required.
  6. (Optional) Choose an End Date. If you add one, KaelSite creates a notification for it in your calendar.

Site Location

  1. (Optional) Enter the site Address or directions, such as the street, city, postcode or how to find the site.
  2. (Optional) Set the exact location in one of two ways:
    • Type the Latitude and Longitude in decimal degrees. This is useful when you are not on site.
    • Select Use current location to use your device's GPS.
The map preview updates once both values are set. Select Clear location to remove them.
  3. Select Create Project.

What happens next: your project is created and you can add its work items and inspection forms, based on the project type you chose.
