Delete a work item

Before you start: deleting a work item also deletes everything linked to it. Make sure you no longer need the work item or its records.

What will be deleted

• The work item
• All inspections for that work item
• All issues logged against that work item

Issues logged at project level are not deleted, because they belong to the project and not to the work item.

Steps

1. Open the project and, in Quick Actions, select View All Works Items/Tasks.
2. Find the work item you want to delete.
3. Select the trash icon on the card, or open the three-dot menu and select Delete.
4. Confirm the deletion.

What happens next: the work item, its inspections and its issues are removed from the project.
